Applied Controls Kicks Off 30th Year with New Technology Center
Malvern, PA - Applied Controls, Inc. is pleased to announce the opening of a new facility in York, Pennsylvania. Located near historic downtown York, the new Technology Center is designed to meet the expanding automation needs of customers in Central Pennsylvania. With special training, seminars, workshops and hands-on demonstrations, customers are able to keep abreast of new technologies, learn to use and apply software and incorporate beneficial solutions into their manufacturing environment.
"We are pleased at the opportunity to demonstrate our commitment to the Susquehanna Valley industrial community," states Applied Controls’ president Richard Gehring. "This is a vital marketplace for us and our suppliers and we intend to continue our investments in this region."
"It is very exciting for us, in this, our thirtieth year, to open our newest Technology Center in York. We are eager to continue the ongoing tradition of outstanding support and dedicated service," adds Gehring.
The facility has historical significance in the community as being the former headquarters for the York Manufacturing Company, which was organized and incorporated in 1874. At one point in time, it housed over 1700 employees and represented the most extensive sales and service organization in the industry for air-conditioning equipment.

Applied Controls was incorporated in 1969 as a manufacturer’s stocking representative and high-tech distributor offering automation products for the industrial marketplace. They serve Eastern Pennsylvania, Southern New Jersey, Delaware and Northern Maryland. Their goal is to provide technologically advanced automation solutions and to demonstrate an unwavering "care-about" approach to customer service.
